Braxton is the Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Malcolm B. Seawell, where he has served for nearly two years. His primary focus and passion is criminal defense. He plays a key role in all aspects of the firm’s criminal matters while also assisting with civil litigation.
Braxton drafts motions, appeals, and other court filings, conducts in-depth legal research, thoroughly reviews and analyzes discovery, and provides strategic input on case development and trial strategy. He is particularly skilled at identifying constitutional issues and crafting compelling arguments.
Prior to joining the firm, Braxton gained practical experience during law school through internships at multiple criminal defense firms. He twice served as a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law and worked as a research assistant for a professor. Through his community service work, he drafted trial strategies, direct examinations, and cross-examinations for an actual criminal trial. He excelled academically in Constitutional Law and Criminal Procedure.
Braxton earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
He has passed the Colorado Bar Examination and is excited to begin his career as an attorney, zealously advocating for clients at the Law Offices of Malcolm B. Seawell.
