Cole D. Jackson

Legal Intern

Cole is currently a law student at the University of Denver, scheduled to graduate and take the bar in the summer of 2027. Cole, who was born and raised in Arizona, elected to stay in Colorado for his law school career after moving here for his undergraduate studies, where he received a B.A. Degree in Political Science and Philosophy, and worked with law firms across the Denver Metro Area, before going back to school for his J.D.

While in law school, Cole has focused much of his class studies on Criminal and Constitutional issues. He has additional experience in the world of Personal Injury and other civil-based law, but his passion has remained in the former. Cole has been a member of DU's National Trial League team and competed against other national law schools in simulated, mock courtroom environments to hone his public speaking skills and learn what it is like to be an attorney.

Cole joined the Law Office of Malcolm B. Seawell after his first year as a summer legal intern and has remained with the company since. During his time with the firm, he has focused on sharpening the skills necessary to prepare him for practice in the real world. Much of this has included legal research for clients, analyzing potential defenses and mitigation, as well as sharpening his legal writing ability. Cole plans to continue his education in the criminal law world this summer and fall, gaining more hands-on experience before turning his focus to graduation, the bar, and life after law school.
